Will is the basic force and power. We call it shakti, divine energy. In order to know the truth we have to relax.  When you relax, the mind begins to subside, to become pacified. Therefore relaxation is very, very necessary.

THE WAY TO PEACE AND TRUTH is a simple, straight road. It makes your soul free. When you are God-conscious, you are awake and aware all the twenty-four hours, while eating, sleeping, walking and working. Just be truthful and harmless. Is it easier said than done? No, it is easily said and easily done—if you want to. When you are harmless you are naturally loving; why would you have to fear anyone? The only missing link is that we have to want to do it. There is a definite path to peace, joy and Reality.
      We have to be courageous in order to be virtuous. You will see diseases decrease; nervous breakdowns will be gone; life will be more harmonious and worth enjoying; love will be abiding. Insecurity will be a by-gone term. Why with so much abundance do we have so much insecurity? I feel it is a lack of faith, a lack of devotion. We have become more self-gratifying than we should be. Abundance has created more insecurity. If we had faith in the Lord, faith in our own Spirit within, we would not be afraid. I am not teaching poverty but richness, contentment and fulfillment. Be truthful; be harmless. Truth will reach you to your Reality and God; harmlessness will give you brotherliness and fellowship. Competition and misuse of power have crept into us as unnatural diseases. Once you begin to do this you will see that it is not otherworldly. You will have courage and wisdom. You will be conscious. Apply courage and the world will be different. This is a definite path to peace, joy and fulfillment.

       In the beginning you have to nourish that plant of truth by using your will. God has given us will—how do we use it in other matters? Use it the same way. Untruth binds us; truth shall liberate us. Truth is aligned with other virtues such as faith and strength. If we are residing in untruth, ultimately we will be demolished, and that is what has been the history of all people, all nations and civilizations. Will is the basic force and power. Be on truth and harmlessness and you will find peace. You will have God’s vision. God does not come to disturbed minds or to those who are occupied with various things. He has a lot of time but if you do not have time what shall He do even if He comes? Therefore you have to be open and receptive—then He is there.
       Practice truthfulness and harmlessness. I would not preach this if it were not applicable in your day-to-day life—whether you are Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, any religion or no religion. Harmlessness will create brotherhood, which every nation and political system is seeking. Truth will give you strength. It is untruth that makes us weak, fearful, hiding and diplomatic. Diplomacy is the exact opposite of simplicity of heart. If we were on truth we would not even need economics or politics. We only need politics when we tumble down from truth. We have seen in our own relations and friendships, in our homes and offices, that we begin to play politics only when we are not being truthful or honest.
      The whole of humanity has to change, to transform and become conscious. Mankind has gone too much into clashes and warfare. Day in and day out we see news of war, strife and disease. We have to transform ourselves and come to the next evolution, divine life in God’s kingdom. Pray to God and He will give you courage and faith.
